CULVER CITY, CALIF. (August 4, 2008) – Mermaids, mysteries and a cool outfit are all in a day´s work for super sleuth Roxy Hunter in her third exciting mystery movie, Roxy Hunter and the Myth of the Mermaid, on DVD October 14, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

The young, hip detective is back on the case when Roxy Hunter, made famous by Aria Wallace (The Perfect Man, Roxy Hunter movies), befriends a beautiful girl who seems to have appeared out of nowhere. A series of strange events convinces Roxy that the girl is a real-life Mermaid, who desperately needs to find her way home!

Delivering everything tween girls love, the DVD is packed with special features, including an all-new music video, "It Starts with You," featuring Aria Wallace, bloopers and three behind-the-scenes featurettes including The Roxy Hunter Triggerification Process, Aria Wallace´s Tips for Going Green, and The Roxy Rocket.

Film Synopsis:
Ka-ching! That´s all super sleuth Roxy Hunter (Aria Wallace) hears when she finds out about a newspaper contest that will pay $300 bucks to the winner who writes the best story. The trouble is she doesn´t have one! Then, like magic, a mysterious young girl arrives out of the blue with nothing – literally. No clothes, no words, no memory – nothing! Roxy names her Annie Nonymous and sets off to solve the mystery of the girl´s missing memory. When Annie comes home soaking wet several nights in a row, Roxy realizes the biggest clue to her super story - Annie is really a mermaid! A mermaid who desperately needs her help to get home.
