Synopsis:
A feisty septuagenarian teams with a fearless wilderness ranger to do battle with a vicious band of beasts and villains in this computer-animated adventure scripted by Pixar veteran Bob Peterson and co-directed by Peterson and Monsters, Inc. director Peter Docter.

Carl Fredricksen is a 78-year-old balloon salesman. His entire life, Carl has longed to wander the wilds of South America. Then, one day, the irascible senior citizen shocks his neighbors by tying thousands of balloons to his home and finally taking flight. But Carl isn't alone on his once-in-a-lifetime journey, because stowed away on his front porch is an excitable eight-year-old wilderness explorer named Russell. Later, as the house touches down on the world's second largest continent, Carl and his unlikely traveling companion step outside to discover that not only is their new front lawn considerably larger, but that the predators therein are much more ferocious than anything they ever faced back home. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn't alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.

This film from the wizards at Pixar centers on Carl Fredericksen, a character far different from any of the animation company's previous heroes. Carl isn't a fish, or a toy, or a monster. Instead, Carl is simply a 78-year-old man, but his age doesn't keep him from having a rollicking adventure in this film featuring the voices of Ed Asner, Christopher Plummer, and Pixar favorite John Ratzenberger.

FOUR discs? It's stuff like this that makes me realize there is a future for movie downloads after all. I could understand if the movie was remade and they had different versions of the movie on each disc (Blade Runner, Star Wars, etc) but a brand new movie that isn't a remake? A bit much.

OK, $22.00 for The Blu Ray Disc, The SD DVD , The Digital Copy and The Extra's Disc? Well I think that's a pretty good price in my view.

But that's just my opinion.

So how about $5.50 if we only want the Blu-ray disc?

John, I know it's unrealistic but if they released just the signle disc bluray (no bonus features, no digital copy, no dvd copy, no knock list, whatever) for $15 you would have a big seller. Sometimes people just want the movie, you know?
